I’m buying a second non-Tesla charger for my cottage and was initially considering getting a second J1772 adapter. However, I was taken aback by the $139.99 price tag for the Lectron adapter. It seemed crazy to spend that much on a small piece of plastic.

So, I decided to look for a more affordable option and came across the EVdance adapter, which was only half the price. After using it for a while, I’m quite pleased with it. The charging speed has remained consistent, and there’s been no sign of melting or any issues. Overall, I’m satisfied with my choice.

I have a Chevy Bolt and I'm planning a road trip. I wanted an adapter so that I had the option of stopping at Tesla chargers along the way if necessary. The adapter fits the car well and locks on solidly. I had not anticipated that there are no Tesla superchargers in my area that are available for non Tesla users. I may be too early an adopter. I couldn't actually test this adapter with a Tesla charger due to this lack of availability. I'll update the review once I find an available charger open to non Tesla autos.
