Extension cable works like a charm

The EVDANCE J1772 Extension Cable works like a charm. It finally allows me to charge my car out on the driveway since my portable charger has been just short of reaching outside. Definitely a great product to have on the go as well if you need to gain a little bit of extra length from an L1/L2 charger (up to 32A). Reminder that this won't work with DC fast chargers.

I DIDN"T THINK I COULD EXTEND MY CHARGING CABLE!!!!

The length of the charging cable has always been an issue for me, both at home and at work. Now with this charging cable extension it gives me so much more flexibility as to where I can park in relation to the Charger or dedicated outlet . I used this extension cable with the 16 amp charger also by EVDANCE and it works great. I like how the EVDANCE charger gives me a readout on the amount of power being delivered by the charger and I can verify that power delivered on the car.

My only concern is that when this extension is used, the connection point ends up on the floor and is susceptible to damage and getting dirty. It would have been nice if there could have been some kind of sheath or saddle that could be included to give the connection some protection and added awareness that that connection is laying there on the ground. Possibly designing that cover into the carrying case would be a great addition.

While a little pricey, the ability to extend the charge port to twice the distance is well worth it.

Super heavy duty J1772 Extension Cable

Love, love, love this J1772 extension cable! There have been multiple times since I've bought my EV that I was frustrated when I couldn't reach the level 1 or 2 charger. At times I've pulled up to a level 2 charger that's been ICEd, and nothing I could do to charge. But where this extension cord gets its most use is at home. My exterior outlet for my Level 1 charging is much further away from where I park than would be ideal. I've parked in all kinds of interesting ways to be able to reach with my J1772 cord. Now with this extension cable I can reach without being as crafty in my parking. My car seems to charge at the same rate with or without the extension cable, so I'm not losing any juice while using the extension.

Overall I HIGHLY recommend this J1772 extension cable, it fits easily into my car as well as my old charging cable and works like a dream. Every EV owner needs one of these!
