The EVDANCE Tesla (NACS) to J1772 Charging Adapter is a device that allows you to connect a J1772 electric vehicle with a Mini Tesla (NACS) charging port to a charging station or outlet equipped with an SAE J1772 connector. It enables J1772 owners with Mini Tesla (NACS) ports to utilize J1772 charging infrastructure, which is commonly found at public charging stations and some residential charging setups.
The adapter serves as an intermediary between the Tesla (NACS) charging port on the vehicle and the J1772 charging equipment. It converts the charging signals and protocols from the Mini Tesla (NACS) standard to the J1772 standard, enabling the J1772 electric vehicle to charge using NACS infrastructure.

This is an adapter for use with a Tesla charging station with a Tesla plug (aka NACS plug) so that it can charge a car with a J1772 port. This will work on the Tesla Wall Connector, Tesla Mobile Connector, or Tesla Destination Chargers (*), but *not* Tesla Superchargers.(*) some newer Tesla Destination Chargers might be set by their owner to only allow Tesla cars to chargeI got this adapter as I have two Tesla cars and a Tesla Wall Connector, but have a relative with a Mach-e who frequently visits and stays overnight. I wanted a way for them to be be able to charge at our house without having to get a different charging station. My Wall Connector is wired for 40A charging, and with this adapter they were able to charge their Mach-e at that rate.The included instructions are simple and easy to follow. Basically put the adapter on the end of the Tesla plug and lock it into place. Then plug it into the cars J1772 port. It worked without a problem.The adapter comes with a carry bag that allows me to hang it on a hook next to my Tesla Wall Connector, so its always exactly where I need it.

The Tesla to J1772 adapter works really well and is nice and compact. It comes with a fabric pouch and simple instruction manual. There not much to it as far as using it except for the locking mechanism that secures the Tesla charging nozzle to the adapter. You'll see in my pictures the blue locking mechanism that displays "open" or "lock." Although with the lock on the underside of the adapter you cannot really read it anyway but is nice to have to secure the Tesla nozzle. The one minor drawback I see is not having a lock to keep the J1772 side secured in to your car. These adapters are not cheap so someone could steal it without a lock. Otherwise it is a nice compact design so it can easily be stored in your car to use for a Tesla charger. Keep in mind this will NOT work at the DC fast charger or Tesla Superchargers and only will work at a level 2 or 240v destination charger.

We are an ev bodyshop. We have way more tesla cars so we have a lot of tesla chargers. We get other brands now. It is a lot easier to use your adapter than get other chargers. Sll the cars we used it on has worked with no issues.

I have a Chevy Bolt and I'm planning a road trip. I wanted an adapter so that I had the option of stopping at Tesla chargers along the way if necessary. The adapter fits the car well and locks on solidly. I had not anticipated that there are no Tesla superchargers in my area that are available for non Tesla users. I may be too early an adopter. I couldn't actually test this adapter with a Tesla charger due to this lack of availability. I'll update the review once I find an available charger open to non Tesla autos.

It is very easy to use with a Tesla home charger for my KIA EV6. Good build quality as well.
