Why choose EVDANCE Extension Cords?

EVDANCE EV Charging Extension Cable is trusted by EV creators and everyday drivers for solving short charger cable problems at home, in the garage, driveway, curbside, or shared parking spaces. Compared with many similar-priced EV charging extension cords, EVDANCE focuses on thicker heavy-duty cable quality, safer handling, and long-lasting durability for compatible Tesla/NACS AC charging setups.

More Reach. Less Parking Stress.

Extend your home charging reach with EVDANCE. This NACS EV charging extension cable bridges the gap from garage to driveway or curbside parking, supports compatible Tesla/NACS AC charging up to 32A and 7.68kW max

Garage to Driveway EV Charging Made Easy

Charge your vehicle with ease, whether it is parked in the driveway, at the garage entrance, or in an outdoor parking space. This extension cable is designed to resolve the common issue of charging cords being too short, allowing you to charge directly at the spot where your family typically parks—eliminating the need to frequently reposition your vehicle just to reach a power source.

Make Every Parking Spot Charge-Ready

EVDANCE Tesla/NACS EV Charging Extension Cable gives your home charging setup the flexibility to reach beyond the wall charger. Whether your EV is parked just outside the garage, beside another family car, or farther down the driveway.

Compatible with Tesla/NACS AC Charging

EVDANCE Tesla/NACS EV Charging Extension Cable works with compatible AC charging setups, including Tesla Wall Connector, Tesla Mobile Connector, and Tesla Destination Connector when used within the cable’s rated limits. Supporting up to 32A and 240V, it adds extra reach for home, garage, driveway, and destination charging. Not designed for Tesla Superchargers or DC fast charging.

UL94-V0 Rating

The EVDANCE EV charging extension cable, designed specifically for Tesla/NACS, is manufactured using UL94-V0 rated flame-retardant materials, helping to enhance safety during daily home charging.

10,000+ Plug-In/Out Test

The Tesla/NACS connector is tested for 10,000+ plug-in and pull-out cycles, helping maintain a secure fit, smooth connection, and reliable charging performance for home, garage, driveway, and travel charging scenarios.

4400LB Load Resistance

Built for real-world home charging environments, the EVDANCE EV charging extension cable is designed to withstand up to 4400LB load pressure. Its heavy-duty structure helps protect the connector and cable during garage, driveway, and outdoor use, giving EV owners more confidence in daily charging.

Fast Charging

It supports AC charging currents of up to 32A and a maximum output power of 7.68kW. Specifically designed for use with Tesla Wall Connectors, Mobile Connectors, and Destination Connectors, this extension cable effectively extends the charging range while ensuring reliable and stable home EV charging performance.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Is it safe to use EVDANCE extension cord?

Sure. Our extension cord uses UL-Recognized cable and has passed multiple safety tests, including freeze test, heat test, drop test and drive over test. It is IP66 weatherproof, so it can be safely used in all conditions - snow, ice, or even in extreme summer heat.

Is EVDANCE extension cable UL listed?

There is currently no unified UL certification for EV extension cable as a complete product. EVDANCE uses UL-Recognized cable and conducts extensive safety testing to ensure reliable and safe charging performance.

Does it work at Tesla Superchargers or other DC fast chargers?

No. This extension cable is designed for AC charging only. We are currently developing a DC fast charging extension solution and hope to share more details in the future.

Will using EVDANCE extension cable cause voltage drop?

Any added cable length will cause a small amount of voltage drop in theory. However, EVDANCE uses high-quality, UL-Recognized cable designed for high-current EV charging, which helps minimize power loss and maintain stable charging performance during normal use.

Can the extension cable be used outdoors? Will water get inside?

Yes. Our extension cable is rated IP66 weatherproof, meaning it is protected against rain and splashing water during outdoor use. However, full submersion or prolonged exposure to heavy, continuous water flow is not recommended.

Does the button on the handle open the charge port?

No. Unlike our NACS charger, the button on the extension cable handle does not open the Tesla charge port. This is because an extension cable cannot supply power to the chip required for Tesla's charge port opening system. The button area on the extension cable is designed for unplugging assistance only, which is why it is clearly labeled “Unplug” on the handle. To open the charge port, please use the Tesla app, vehicle screen, or an original Tesla connector.

Why do some EV manufacturers advise against using extension cords?

EV manufacturers (like Tesla and GM) advise against extension cords as a safety precaution. Standard household extension cords are not designed for the high, continuous amperage (30–50A+) required for Level 2 EV charging. Using the wrong cord can cause overheating, voltage drop, melted insulation, electrical shock, or fire risks. Their warnings target typical household cords—not purpose-built, heavy-duty EV charging extension cables rated for sustained high current with proper gauge wire and safety features.
