Lucid Motors has officially entered the certified pre-owned market, aiming to make its luxury electric vehicles more accessible while reinforcing buyer confidence. The new initiative, called Lucid Recharged, brings factory-backed warranties and inspections to used Lucid EVs sold directly by the company.
A New Chapter for Used Lucid EVs
Lucid Recharged marks the automaker’s first official certified pre-owned (CPO) program, sitting above its existing used-car sales. The program is designed to attract buyers interested in Lucid’s technology and performance but hesitant about purchasing a used electric vehicle without manufacturer support.
Only single-owner Lucid vehicles with fewer than 62,000 miles qualify. Each eligible car undergoes a 160-plus-point inspection, followed by mechanical and cosmetic reconditioning when necessary. All work is completed using Lucid-approved parts to ensure the vehicles meet factory standards.
Warranty Coverage and Ownership Benefits
One of the biggest draws of Lucid Recharged is warranty protection. Certified vehicles retain the original four-year/50,000-mile factory warranty, and Lucid adds an extra 12-month/12,000-mile limited manufacturer warranty on top.

Depreciation plays a major role in the appeal of Lucid Recharged vehicles. With factory backing now included, used Lucid EVs become a far more compelling value proposition.
At launch, the lowest-priced certified model listed is a 2023 Lucid Air Pure, priced at $47,498. Despite its reduced price, it still delivers 410 miles of range, 480 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and premium interior features.
By comparison, a new 2026 Lucid Air Pure starts at $62,400. While it offers a slightly higher EPA-rated range of 420 miles, it comes with a single rear motor and less power, making the certified model significantly stronger on a performance-per-dollar basis.
Non-Certified Used Options Remain Available
Lucid will continue selling used vehicles outside the Recharged program as well. These cars do not receive the additional CPO warranty or certification but still include any remaining original factory coverage.
Currently, the cheapest non-certified Lucid on the company’s site is priced at $45,498 for a 2023 Air Pure with under 20,000 miles. For cost-conscious buyers willing to forgo certification, this offers an even lower entry point into Lucid ownership.
Following a Growing Industry Trend
Lucid’s move mirrors a broader trend among EV-focused automakers. As early production vehicles return from leases or trade-ins, manufacturers are increasingly selling used EVs directly to consumers to protect residual values and capture more margin.
Tesla has long operated a robust certified used program, while Rivian entered the used-vehicle space last year. For Lucid, launching Recharged is a strategic step toward stabilizing resale values and expanding its customer base without relying solely on new-car demand.
