General Motors will remove Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from all future models to focus on its Android Automotive system, aiming for a smoother, unified in-car experience despite concerns from longtime smartphone users.

General Motors’ Super Cruise system has surpassed 500,000 active users and achieved over 700 million hands-free miles with no reported crashes. The Level 2 system is now one of the safest and fastest-growing semi-autonomous driving features in North America.

GM is developing a family of affordable EVs priced around $30,000, expanding beyond the Chevy Bolt. The lineup will use new battery tech like LFP and LMR to cut costs while targeting compact crossovers and other underserved EV segments.
