Ford Targets $30,000 Electric Truck with New Universal EV Platform
Ford plans to launch a mid-size electric pickup in 2027 starting at around $30,000, built on its new Universal EV Platform. The truck will feature a 400-volt LFP battery, BlueCruise capability, and RAV4-level interior space, with production at the Louisville Assembly Plant. Ford’s new modular production system aims to cut costs, reduce parts, and speed assembly, making its EVs more affordable than a three-year-old Tesla Model Y.
